Subotica and Palić Lake

Tour the beautiful northern Serbia city of Subotica on bike! Rich cultural heritage assets, lavishly decorated buildings, multicultural spirit and European charm – these are the features that make this city distinctive. We supplement it with a tour of a nearby lake Palić, famous for its natural beauty, peace and silence!

This is a full day tour of approximately 30 km of cycling on a mixture of paved cycle-ways/roads and dirt paths.

We’ll depart Belgrade and drive about 2 hours to the beautiful northern city of Subotica – famous for leafy avenues and art nouveau architecture. We’ll cycle past and stop at some of the most beautiful examples of the city’s architecture (City Hall, the Synagogue, Raichle Palace…) and then continue on to Lake Palić, about 10km away, where we’ll cycle around the lake on a mixture of road and off-road for around 15 km, finishing some 3 km away from the lake at the famous Majkin Salaš, where we’ll end our tour and enjoy lunch together.

The ride will be totally flat and thus suitable for beginner cyclists who know they are able to manage this distance (meaning you still need to be in OK shape to be able to cycle for 30km). It is not technical, meaning no special bike skills are required.
